Box office occupancy report: Why Cheat India opens on a poor note; Fraud Saiyaan, Rangeela Raja disastrous

Three notable Hindi films released today - Emraan Hashmi starrer Why Cheat India, Arshad Warsi starrer Fraud Saiyaan and Govinda starrer Rangeela Raja. Check out their occupancy report below.

After a great year at the box office in 2018, the year 2019 started on a strong note with Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike taking a flying start at the box office and making more than Rs 70 crore in week one of its release. The movie is headed for blockbuster status. This week saw the release of three notable Hindi films in Why Cheat India starring Emraan Hashmi, Fraud Saiyaan starring Arshad Warsi and Govinda starrer Rangeela Raja. 

Out of the three films, it is only the Emraan Hashmi starrer that has released with some buzz around it received some sort of positive reviews. The other two films were panned by critics and released with zero buzz. Taking the morning shows occupancy into the accounts, Emraan Hashmi starrer Why Cheat India has opened on a poor note at the box office. So much so, that it might turn out to be one of the lowest openers for Emraan Hashmi in recent times. Ironically, this is also one of his better-received films in recent times.
